Scrutiamo le case abbandonate... (We scrutinize the abandoned houses...)

Dal mio quarto libro: "Una psicologa in giallo". L'ispettrice Cinzia parla con la protagonista psicoterapeuta Sofia.

«In realtà non sono venuta qui solo per renderti partecipe di questa storia intrigante e misteriosa, nella quale spero tu possa darmi il tuo prezioso aiuto professionale, ma anche perché ho un altro quesito da risolvere. Olivia è rimasta molto scossa dalla scoperta dello scheletro e si rifiuta, per il momento, di tornare nella villa... Cosa che comunque non avrebbe potuto fare, perché ho dovuto dichiararla “off limit”, in quanto è diventata la scena di un crimine. Mi sono offerta di aiutarla a cercare una camera in un albergo, considerando tra l’altro che potrebbe permettersi senza problemi un cinque stelle, ma non mi è sembrata propensa di voler restare da sola. Credo tu possa comprendere meglio di me la sua situazione emotiva...»

"Actually, I didn't come here just to share this intriguing and mysterious story with you, in which I hope you can offer me your valuable professional assistance, but also because I have another question to answer. Olivia was deeply shaken by the discovery of the skeleton and refuses, for the moment, to return to the villa... Something she couldn't have done, anyway, because I had to declare it "off limits," as it had become the scene of a crime. I offered to help her find a hotel room, considering that she could easily afford a five-star hotel, but she didn't seem inclined to stay alone. I think you understand her emotional situation better than I do..."

 

We scrutinize abandoned houses

wondering which streets 

they were inhabited on, 

because ours is barely enough, 

we unconsciously mix up the meaning;  

we are the naive actors on the stage 

of a mysterious and immense stage.
